A series of road closures have come to the QEW in Oakville and Burlington and drivers are expressing frustration.

Some of the closures have already begun, including one that is leaving "all lanes closed" on the on-ramp to the Hamilton-bound QEW at North Shore Boulevard from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sept. 14-17, according to the Ministry of Transportation.

There is also a "moving maintenance closure" that will leave alternating lanes closed on the eastbound QEW in Oakville, beginning at Bronte Road, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sept. 18-23.

Lastly, continued maintenance and construction on the eastbound QEW between Brant Street and Guelph Line will leave two lanes closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sept. 14-17.

Burlington hairstylist Jill Saric is tasked with doing hair and make-up for a wedding this weekend and has to be at the bride's house by 5 a.m.

"I guess I will have to exit the highway or take another way," she said. "It's frustrating...of all weekends."
