Kylie Jenner is being accused of not following sanitation protocols at Kylie Cosmetics.

“In the lab creating new magic for you guys 💕 better than ever,” the beauty mogul, 24, captioned an Instagram carousel Wednesday that showed her all glammed up in a lab coat while posing for photos at her company’s facility.

Several of Jenner’s followers were worried that her long, dark locks would end up in the makeup she was “creating.” Additionally, the “Kardashians” star was not wearing gloves while handling various materials.

However, sources exclusively tell Page Six that Jenner was not on the production floor when the pictures and videos were taken. We’re told she was simply reviewing colors and ideating on new concepts.

But that was not made clear to her fans.

“Wear a hair cap,” one of them suggested on her post. “Going to find hair in the make up [sic],” another commented. “[Does] it include your hair too?” a third wondered. “[Aren’t] u suppose[d] to wear gloves, mask and the hair net thingy???” someone else asked.

“It’s giving high school science class,” one person joked, while another mocked Jenner’s caption with: “In the lab creating the new pandemic.”

“The actual scientist whose lab coat you have on standing right out of frame,” an observant commenter noted, while a potential customer quipped, “Cant wait for this to break my skin out in hives 😩.”

Emmy-winning makeup artist and cosmetic developer Kevin James Bennett echoed the naysayers’ sentiments before blasting Jenner for “gaslighting [her] followers.”

“Working with cosmetic manufacturers (and their labs) is part of my job,” he explained on her post. “I have very short hair, and I’ve NEVER been allowed into the lab without a hair net…AND GLOVES.”

Bennett also demanded to know “what ignorant lab let [Jenner] touch things without following proper sanitation protocols?”

In a lengthier statement on his own page, the makeup expert added, “Folks, this is not the way we create cosmetics and misrepresents how our industry works. Credible manufacturers follow STRICT sanitation protocols to protect you.”

But Bennett received his own share of criticism from fellow industry folks who backed our source’s information.

“No lab would allow her to do the actual pouring, measuring, mixing etc.,” one expert commented on his post, adding, “Cute pics tho — wish I looked that hot at the lab haha.”

Another claimed that “many brand owners take those pictures.”

“She’s not doing anything wrong,” they argued, “and we have zero way to know how involved she is in formulation.”

Reps for Jenner didn’t immediately return our request for comment.
